We’re still catching our breath from a doggone AMAZING Coaching Week that went down from September 11th-16th, 2022!
At Pet Boss Nation®, we were just completely floored by the number of pet professionals who joined us to plan out what is sure to be a profitable Q4.

700 Pet Bosses dedicated the week to learning, growth, and community, and we are so thankful they saw the value we have to offer and welcomed us into their pet businesses!

So let’s get rolling! Here are five takeaways from our paw-mazing Coaching Week in September 2022:
1. The traffic, conversion, retention Venn diagram.
Have you heard the term “Venn diagram” since high school? We neither, but that is what Candace draws on her whiteboard when explaining the three focus areas within your pet business: traffic, conversion, and retention.
Nailing all three of these = Making it RAIN $$$.
But if you are having trouble crushing your revenue goals in your pet business, then something is missing from one of these three areas. Start evaluating there!
In the Pet Boss Club®, we dive DEEP into these three areas and how to make the changes necessary to make sure they’re all working together to maximize your profit. Sometimes you just need an outsider’s eye to show you where the cogs in the wheel aren’t turning properly– and it helps when those eyes belong to a team of pet industry experts!
2. Plan your Q4 events (and ANY event) with purpose.
Events are an important part of building your audience and your business name within your local community. The trick to successful events is STRATEGY.
Define your short-term goal– like increasing revenue, building your audience list, hyping up your team, or showing customer appreciation. Now, as you plan your next event and start having to make decisions, come back to that goal. THAT is your purpose, so the decision-making all comes back to how to achieve it.
3. Workbooks are life.
But really, isn’t it nice to have a physical (or virtual) piece of paper to jot down your ideas, dreams, and goals? Isn’t everything easier with a map showing you what to do next? During Coaching Week, we delivered daily workbooks to the Pet Bosses participating, and they were a hit! We were being tagged left and right by pet business owners utilizing their workbooks.
4. We know how to throw a parrrrty.
Yup, even virtually! We wanted to give our Coaching Week participants a chance to experience the sense of community the members of our Pet Boss Club® have, so we planned a series of themed mixers to get the fun rolling. Not only did everyone have a blast getting to know (and getting inspired by) others in the community, but the themes even provided inspiration for potential upcoming holiday events! A win-win.
