An Inside Look: What Our Newest Pet Boss Club® Members Have Accomplished Since Joining One Month Ago
After last month’s whirlwind and amazing Coaching Week, we opened up the doors to the Pet Boss Club® for the last time in 2022.
And we had 81 new members jump on the opportunity to join us! 🥳🥳🥳
Our new members are pet business owners who were ready to invest in their professional development, surround themselves with like-minded and ambitious petpreneurs, and begin the journey toward elevating their pet businesses.
You probably noticed us celebrating on social media (and heck, we’re still celebrating because we’re so excited to work with these new Club Members!).
But now we want to fill you in on what’s happening with these new members and their pet businesses just one month after joining!
Because, honestly, they’re already starting to crush their goals and grow their businesses, and we’re just so stinkin’ proud of them. Each of them deserves a shout-out, but we know that article would take you all day to read, so for now, we’ve narrowed it down to five!
Here’s what five new Pet Boss Club® members have achieved since joining us just one month ago:
1. Phil and Dawn Heuckroth, Roc N Duke’s Pet Supplies, Inc.
Phil and Dawn Heuckroth, the owners of Roc N Duke’s Pet Supplies Inc. in Canada immediately got to planning VIP nights for their various locations! They have three dates in the works and have created exclusive VIP invitations for the events.
Their customers have been feeling the love for sure, and the feedback after receiving an invite has been wonderful! They’re making their customers feel welcome, creating a buzz around their events, and are already planning a 5th Saturday Sale to move some products and bring in some cash.
Phil and Dawn report that they are LOVING being Pet Boss Club® members so far, and we can’t wait to support them moving forward!
2. Ellasha Ferriell, Evolution Dog Training
Ellasha Ferriell, the owner of Evolution Dog Training in Louisville, Kentucky has been gaining endless momentum since becoming a Pet Boss Club member. Here’s what she had to say:
“The support, for one, has been overwhelming! I mean, truly having this kind of support is awesome. I love the Q and A sessions with Candace. It speaks so much that she is a leader by example, she’s not just throwing sales formulas out there. She’s giving honest feedback based on her own experiences, and I think that is so much more solid than ‘Well, it’s supposed to go like this, but sometimes it doesn’t.’ I am super happy about joining the Pet Boss Club®!”
3. Amber Staton, Smoosh Pet Bakery and Spa
Amber Staton, the owner of Smoosh Pet Bakery and Spa in Knoxville, Iowa, experienced a SPOOKY huge win with her Halloween Mystery boxes this year.
“We have done mystery bags and Easter baskets in the past, but nothing to the extent we did this year. For our Halloween boxes, we worked really hard to source items that would keep our boxes at a 50% margin. In the past, these types of items made us very little. This time we really soaked up advice from Pet Boss Nation® and got the right items into the box. We also took some ideas on how to make the box more appealing from others in the Club.”
After taking further advice from the Pet Boss Club® on how to tease their audience and hype up their boxes on social media, Amber launched! So how did it go?
“Then we launched! Then we were sold out. One nice thing with this was we had sold about 1/2 the boxes before we opened on launch day through Facebook and Instagram. We have had customers asking us if we can do this monthly and a lot of them sent us pics with their dogs and the box. It was just a big, big win for me. ”
4. Hanna Lucero, Gold Paw Pet Shop
When Hanna, the owner of Gold Paw Pet Shop, transitioned from just grooming into pet retail, she was worried she’d feel lost… until she found Pet Boss Nation®!
Here’s what Hanna had to say about joining the Pet Boss Club® at the perfect time:
“Pet Boss Nation came into my life right as I chose to take on an existing pet store and expand from being just a 200-square-foot studio grooming salon. I have almost no experience with retail and without Pet Boss Nation’s resources, I truly feel I’d be lost and overwhelmed. The community has answered to my fears and confusion.”
As someone who is transitioning into a new space within the pet industry, finding the proper support and expertise has been key for Hanna!
“The planners and templates pay for the membership alone, and Candace herself is great at making you feel heard by being responsive in the community and one on one. I was ready to push myself to the next level, and Pet Boss showed up to help lift me. I’ve gained knowledge about pricing, social media planning, and business development all within the short month since joining.”
5. Sloan Lane, Bone Appetit Kalamazoo
Sloan Lane, the owner of Bone Appetit Kalamazoo, was also in the middle of a transitional period in her business when she decided to become a Pet Boss Club® member.
Sloan found and started listening to The Boss Your Business Podcast and connected with Candace’s teachings immediately. She wanted more! So what was her next step?
“I invested $10 for Pet Boss Coaching week, and I learned a lot of new things, got a bunch of new ideas, and found out I loved the whole community of people behind the Pet Boss Club®.”
After wrapping up Coaching Week, Sloan had to make her next decision– to invest in the Pet Boss Club®, or wait until doors reopen next year.
“With higher education and bettering yourself, it is always an investment, and I came to the conclusion that if I wanted the tools to make my business ideas real, I needed to be part of a serious support group that only the Pet Boss Club® can offer, especially going into this last quarter of the year.”
Sloan jumped into the Club before doors closed, and we are thrilled that she did! Watching how much her business and confidence have grown in just one month is what the Pet Boss Club® is all about. Here’s her feedback about her professional growth investment.
“My investment is already paying off in less than a month since joining! I have learned SO MUCH from being in the Club.
Here are just a few of my highlights: new organization techniques, resources to learn about how to wholesale online, a workbook breakdown to have a successful store event, and how to build an ad campaign on Instagram and Facebook that the target audience will actually see. I’ve barely made a dent in all the resources the Club has to offer and I work a little bit at it every day after grooming for 8 hours.”
So what happens when you join the Pet Boss Club® and start taking advantage of the advice, support, and expertise we have to offer right away?
As you can see, immediate payoff!
The determination of these Club members to jump in, try new things, and soak up the knowledge surrounding them is nothing short of inspirational.
