This is your chance to get ahead of the Google curve… they’re up to BIG things for the pet industry!
Our friend Lorne Sederoff from SearchKings, a premier Google Partner, stopped by to share all about the new “Google Screened” option launching NOW for the pet care space. Getting your “Google Screened” Badge verifies to customers searching for services that you’re a licensed professional who they can trust over randomly choosing someone online.
Lorne breaks down all the specifics:
- What Google Screened is and how it will benefit your pet business by bringing in new leads.
- How SearchKings can assist in getting your business Google Screened verified.
- How to get the most out of your Google marketing budget.
- And MORE!
PLUS, SearchKings is offering Pet Boss friends + clients an opportunity to onboard early (HUGE BENEFIT!) and provide all Pet Boss referrals with a dedicated account manager and a discounted rate on their services to get your accounts set up and optimized.
Listen to the episode to claim your offer and be one BIG step ahead in Google marketing!

If you’re interested in working with SearchKings or participating in “Google Screened” – each individual business has a different set of criteria and/or opportunity to participate or not in the program, based on the services you offer and the state you are established in. We recommend reaching out to petboss@searchkings.com to confirm your required details and opportunity.
Some types of pet businesses that fall into “pet care” from our industry perspective aren’t recognized by Google Screened yet, but may in the future.
They also require a proof of license, but not all states require a license for some pet businesses. SearchKings is escalating this issue and has put an appeal in with Google. More to come there if you do not fall into the categories and states below.
Until then, here are the specifics SearchKings shared with us of who can utilize Google Screened, as it is now, without any issues (paws crossed).
You may choose one or more of these…
- Cat boarding
- Cat grooming
- Cat sitting (in-home)
- Dog boarding
- Dog boarding with training
- Dog daycare
- Dog grooming
- Dog sitting (in-home)
- Dog training
- Dog walking
Only 1/3 of states require a license for some pet businesses.
The states that require a license are:
- Ohio
- Pennsylvania
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- District of Columbia
- Georgia
- Iowa
- Illinois
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Massachusetts
- Maryland
- Maine
- Missouri
- North Carolina
- Nebraska
- Rhode Island
Hopefully SearchKings can assist in bringing this program to as many pet professionals as possible!
