In honor of Women’s History Month, we want to introduce you to some phenomenal Pet Boss women who are consistently showing us that anything is paws-ible.
1. Tori Mistick
Tori’s name might be familiar to you because she was recently a guest on the Boss Your Business Podcast!
Tori is an influencer, educator, podcaster, and founder of the award-winning dog mom lifestyle brand Wear Wag Repeat. Her mission is to help women live their best lives with dogs – as pet parents and petpreneurs! Her dog mom advice has been featured in BuzzFeed, Good Morning America, and The Wall Street Journal. Tori is the guardian to two chocolate labs, Lucy and Burt.

2. Lashonda Geffrard
If you have been following along with the Boss Your Business Podcast, you may remember Lashonda from episode 3 where we discussed diversity and black-owned pet businesses!
Lashonda is the co-owner of a pet grooming salon in Ocoee, FL called The Paw Shop. She had a record year in 2021 and plans to see more growth in 2022 with the purchase of a new mobile grooming vehicle!
Lashonda also launched the Black Pet Business Network, a non-profit bringing together like-minded pet industry business owners, professionals, and influencers with the mission of growing strong black pet brands. She is surely a powerhouse leader within the pet industry, and we’re lucky to have her as a resource and guiding light!
3. Jamie Damato Migdal, CPDT-KA
Jamie, is the founder and CEO of FetchFind, an educational platform for pet care service, pet-friendly businesses and non-profits that provides the tools needed to operate with confidence and clarity.
Jamie has a passion for enhancing education and technology within the pet industry, which is so important as things change so frequently and rapidly. She has over 25 years of experience as a Pet Boss, through building FOUR national pet service companies and continues to be a knowledgeable leader in the space! She is #ladyboss GOALS!
4. Jerri Scherff
Need some creative Instagram reels inspo? Jerri is your go-to, and you should follow her on Instagram for much more inspiration than that!
Jerri is a dog trainer who founded and operates the largest virtual dog training network in the world, Tulsa Pack Athletics. She’s putting access to quality and affordable training right into the hands of dog owners all over the world, and she’s doing it with an admirable and inspirational #BossLady attitude that people are noticing.
5. Nadia Lee
You may recognize Nadia as a grooming contest winner on HBOMAX’s Haute Dog, which is only one of the many grooming competitions she has won. She’s a groomer to the celebs, has over 16 years of experience, and is using her exposure to empower other women and educate others about the dog grooming industry.
Nadia, also known as @theboujeegroomer, is another social media creative who is using platforms like Instagram to connect with her most ideal grooming clients and educate pet grooming professionals.
6. Pamela Mitchell
Pamela Mitchell is an award-winning writer and editor with nearly 30 years of journalism experience, which she has put to good use within the pet industry, beginning with Dogster where she was a senior editor. She joined PETS+ in 2017 and became the editor-in-chief in 2020.
Under her guidance, PETS+ has become a much-loved source of business advice and inspiration for independent retailers and service providers as well as an in-demand advertising vehicle for brands who want to connect with them through innovative and unique programs. Pamela lives and works from her home in Houston, TX, with assistant Ty the Boston Terrier. Every great #girlboss needs a great sidekick!

7. Heidi Neal
Our lucky number seven #ladyboss shoutout is for Heidi, a Pet Boss Club member with seven different locations in Maine of her retail company, Loyal Biscuit Co.!
Heidi is a great example of expanding your reach in the pet biz, staying connected to your community, and offering model leadership for your team members so that your business can THRIVE!! Her company was selected in 2020 for Qurate Retail Group’s Small Business Spotlight, a partnership with NRF Federation to share their brand story with millions on QVC, HSN and Zulily!
She was also featured in the news and on America’s Funniest Home Videos with her adorable pug, Kevin!
